xx Sim Complete!
July 06, 2008, 11:51:45 PM by Detroit
A no-hitter this week by Detroit's Jose Ramos, as Detroit gave him just enough run support, 20 runs.  Detroit opened up a 5 game margin over the Twins as the Yankees pulled ahead by 2.5 games.

St Louis lost ace Joel Zumaya for the rest of the regular season and maybe the first week of the playoffs, which hurts their chances to hold on to a 4 game lead over Cincinnati.

Next sim Tuesday night!

xx SanFran: Two Steps Forward, Three Steps Back

Henry Schulman, Chronicle staff writer

San Francisco - Entering July, the Giants had good reason to be confident.  After playing a grueling schedule (27 games in 30 days) in June and winning 18 of those contests, many felt the youth-oriented/veteran pitching approach that the Giants have taken in the past few seasons was finally paying some dividends.  Just before the All-Star br...

xx Cleveland fans excited

Indians fans from around the city are buzzing about the Tribe. Tom Wilson from Parma says, "hey these guys aren't that bad" and "they may win some games this year". But how long can the Indians continue the good play. Only time will tell for this reporter. Catch you at...

xx the Mexican Jumping Bean

Major League pitchers are throwing harder and harder. Fans get excited when they see Deam Cameron pop his 100 mile per hour fast ball past an opposing player. Oriol Mendez, the 25-year old import from Mexico signed by the Pirates this week, clocks in at roughly 65 miles per hour.

That should get the fans clamouring.

"Pelota de nudillo," he said with a smile during his press conference. Or in English, means knuckleball.
